ISEE 2020 Travel Award Application Form
The ISEE 2020 Annual Meeting will be inclusive to delegates from around the world. To facilitate the participation of all those interested, ISEE is offering two categories of travel awards: (i) an award for students, new researchers, and established researchers currently residing in developing countries and (ii) an award for students and new researchers residing in developed countries. Countries classified as developing countries for this purpose are those whose economies are listed as “Low income”, “Lower Middle Income”, or “Upper Middle Income” in the World Bank List of Economies (see the Travel Awards tab in the conference website for a complete list). All other countries are considered developed countries.

Applicants will be scored based on their financial need (i.e., need of a travel award to participate in the conference), commitment to the field of environmental epidemiology (e.g., trained in this field and pursued or plan to pursue a career in this field), engagement or likelihood of future engagement in ISEE (i.e., history of or interest in attending conferences, participating in committees, and serving in leadership roles), and the importance of attending this year’s conference for their career trajectory in environmental epidemiology (i.e., in active search for environmental epidemiology jobs or collaborations in the field). The more thoughtful the applicants are about the benefits of attending, the higher their score will be. When all else is equal, preference will be given to students and new researchers. Awards will be issued as reimbursements, not provided in advance.

In order to facilitate connections to other researchers and the society, awardees may be asked to attend certain welcoming events for travel award winners and/or chapter meetings during the conference.
