OVERVIEWHALT THE ASSAULT is a spoken word event to increase public awareness about victimization prevention and sexual assault against girls and women happening Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 p.m. at Riverside Public Library (front lawn outdoors; if rain, indoors). Hosted by Women Wonder Writers in collaboration with Inlandia Institute and Daughters Lives Matter, Street Positive, and Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center and community supporters. Note: 1 out of 6 women (U.S.) have been victim of an attempted or completed rape. 82% of juvenile sexual assault victims are female. Women ages 18-24, attending college, are three times more likely to be sexually assaulted, those women in same age group, not enrolled in college are four times likely to be assaulted. Men are a solution.
OBJECTIVE1) Increase community action for sexual assault/violence prevention against women; 2) Engage males to take active role in prevention; 3) Promote performing and literary arts platform for prevention.
EXECUTIONMulticultural community event. 1) Featured spoken word artists. 2) Open mic. 3) Special guest performance invitation for male spoken word artists.

RULES & REGULATIONS:Exhibitors must abide by rules and regulations of both the Riverside Public Library and HALT THE ASSAULT. If you do not abide by the rules, are rude, disrespectful or not willing to be a team player, you may be asked to leave HALT THE ASSAULT. Completing this Exhibitor or Presenter Registration Application does not guarantee you a space to Exhibit your product or services or be a presenter. Deadline for Presenters to complete Registration is March 14, 2019. Deadline for Booth / Table Exhibitors to complete Registration is March 28, 2019. All fees must be paid in full one week before the Event, or no later than March 30, 2019.No children under the age of 15 allowed to participate in booth or table exhibit. No children under 14 will be allowed to participate as a spoken word artist. No inappropriate music, language or behavior allowed. By participating in HALT THE ASSAULT, you are aware that your image and that of your product, program, service, training, research and or person, employees, volunteers and team may be captured on film, video, DVD, used to promote, distribute or otherwise represent HALT THE ASSAULT, Women Wonder Writers, Street Positive, Daughters Lives Matter, Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center, Inlandia Institute and/or our subsidiaries.
