Submit An Article Proposal
Here you can let us know that you would like to write an article for theGIST. The headline deadline is the first Friday of every month, we then pair you with a specialist editor and you have two weeks to write the article. After this your article will then be copy edited for a week and then put on the website. For more information see

Note: If you are a first time GISTer then we need to get to know you.... What do you study? What are you interested in? Would you like to be a specialist editor? ...etc. So if this is you, then please fill in the contact details form, which can be found at
Second Note: If your article is time-sensitive then the regular submissions process may not suit your needs. Please email submissions@the-GIST.org to organise a faster publication.

The Submissions Process
By agreeing to write an article for theGIST...
You are, ipso facto, agreeing for us to publish your article using your name. We do not publish articles under pseudonyms or anonymously.
When writing an article on the Google Drive, the document template is the sole property of the submissions editor and theGIST. You are not authorised to make a second copy of the template on the Google Drive. Failure to agree to this will result in theGIST not publishing your article.
We will publish your work under a under a Creative Commons 3.0 licence, for more information see
Give your article a title. This can be changed at a later stage so don't worry about it too much!
Give a brief summary of your article outline.
