Next steps: Applications are only rejected in very exceptional circumstances. We may feel it is appropriate to request contacts for two referees to provide references. Subject to your application being successful, we will arrange a time for you to come in, learn more about the farm, meet the rest of the team and attend a taster session.

It will be treated confidentially and only relevant farm staff members will have access to it. Your information will be stored securely during your time volunteering with us. When you move on we will ask if you want us to delete it.

What do you hope to gain from a volunteer placement at Horton Community Farm? *
Please tick any skills you have that you would be willing to share with Horton Community Farm.
What other skills and previous experience do you have that might be relevant? *
How long would you like to volunteer with us? Following a successful taster session from both our points of view, we prefer it if volunteers commit to at least a day a week over two months *
Health issues / allergies *
Please describe any physical or learning disability you may have that requires additional support for you to be able to complete tasks. To ensure all volunteers can participate fully they may be required to attend with their own one-to-one support worker. This enables us to offer participation to a wide a range of people as possible while ensuring that the community project can run effectively. *
Have you been referred to Horton Community Farm by an organisation? If so, please state the name of the organisation that referred you. *
Will you be attending with a support worker? *
If yes, please provide their name, phone number and email.
Do you have any unspent conditional cautions or convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974? *
The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provides that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’. This means that they do not need to be disclosed to us, and if they are disclosed, we cannot take them into account.
Do you have any adult cautions (simple or conditional) or spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020? *
If answering yes to either of the two previous questions, please provide details.
Permission to include you in photographs during your volunteer placement for our own records? *
Permission to use photographs of you volunteering, on social media and in printed publicity? *
If we were to expand to more volunteer days, which would be most suitable for you? Currently we provide Wednesdays & Fridays 9:30 - 3pm.
