A Day without Students: Feb 5th Student Boycott
Parents across HISD are choosing to boycott school on Wed, Feb 5th to protest the harmful impact of the state takeover on students, teachers and community.

Options:
1. Your child can be absent all day. [BEST]
2. You can pick up your child after attendance is taken. This applies to elementary grades.
3. You can pick up your child after lunch.

There are limited spaces for the Tejas Ed and Art Lab (9:30- 2 pm) in the East End and one in Montrose for children whose parents cannot take off work. 
  • We need the return of an elected board (real accountability)
  • We need real, authentic learning and full books, not more endless test prep paced without regard for student needs (more learning)
We need our schools to be safe, nurturing spaces for our children including wraparound services and immigrant safety (more safety and services)

Protestar contra el impacto perjudicial de la intervención en los estudiantes, maestros y nuestra comunidad. Padres de todo HISD están eligiendo boicotear la escuela por un día, 5 de febrero

  2. Puede recoger a su hijo después de que se tome la asistencia. *(Esto aplica solo a los grados de primaria.)*
