The laws, purposes and character of God are intriguingly portrayed in Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. By studying these books we can learn how God both blessed and admonished those whom He had chosen to be His representatives to the rest of the world. By obeying the laws and regulations that God gave them, they would be prepared to flourish in the promised land. These books, along with the two other books, are known as the Pentateuch, or the Torah. Together they describe events occurring from the time the Israelites continued their encampment at the foot of Mt. Sinai to the death of Moses.
