Part-Time Faculty, Full-Time Faculty, and Academic Professionals at Portland Community College are standing up for each other, for our students, for our communities, and for great public education. I am united with PCC workers in demanding a contract that ensures:
- A safe and healthy environment for students and staff
- Reliable internet and other essential resources for students, teachers, and support staff
- Smaller caseloads for academic advisors
- Fair salaries that reflect the rising cost of living in Portland
- Affordable health insurance
- Job security
- More student-centered professional autonomy and shared decision-making
- Fewer top-down and disconnected policies from Administration
By signing this pledge, we agree to publicly support PCCFFAP.
We also agree, as we are able, to:
- Donate to the PCCFFAP Strike Fund
- Walk the picket line with PCC workers if they go on strike.
- Amplify PCC workers’ demands through public statements of support.
- Hold PCC’s Administration accountable to meeting those just demands.
- Organize our colleagues in elected office to work with PCCFFAP.
- Organize our constituents to understand and support the contract fight.
