Where: City Hall
WHY ARE WE RALLYING?
We as students are facing a housing crisis just like other Calgarians. Rent has skyrocketed and finding a place to live has become far more difficult. More and more of us are choosing between food, tuition, and shelter.
On April 22nd City Council is voting to approve R-CG zoning city-wide. If this vote passes it will put an end to exclusionary zoning practices and allow for more diverse forms of housing to meet the needs of all Calgarians! This is essential to address the current housing crisis and get more housing built in Calgary.
We need Calgary city councillors to know that students are watching them! Some councillors continue to drag their feet and are trying to vote this motion down. We can't let that happen!
DEMANDS
We demand that city councillors vote to approve R-CG zoning bylaws on April 22nd!
TAKE ACTION
If we mobilize at City Hall on April 22nd, councillors will feel the pressure and vote yes!
