Volunteer with Us for EQ25 Fest!
Join us in bringing history to life and celebrating community resilience.

The Great Quake will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 12:00 – 4:00 PM on the 1100 block of State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. This free, family-friendly street festival will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Santa Barbara Earthquake with hands-on exhibits, live music, performances, historical displays, and interactive experiences that explore the earthquake’s lasting impact on our city.

We’re looking for volunteers to help create a meaningful and engaging experience for attendees—from supporting family activities and guiding visitors, to helping with event logistics and setup/cleanup. Whether you’re a history buff, a people person, or just want to give back to your community, we’d love to have your help!
