The next Mayor must cure the city’s high rate of poverty and community violence and dedicate themselves to improving the health and well being of every child.
Philly kids can’t wait. For all children, the next Mayor of Philadelphia must make every day safer than the one before. I want the next Mayor to pledge to make the Kids Agenda a reality by building a city that:
- Is a great place to raise your family.
- Heals the systemic rifts that disproportionately harm children of color.
- Where no child in Philadelphia is hungry or lives in poverty.
- Where every neighborhood has a quality District school.
- Is the prime destination for the best teachers in the country.
- Where every child has a safe and stable home and access to healthcare.
- Where every neighborhood has great rec centers, parks, libraries, safe places, and afterschool and summer programs.
- Where every child has access to high-quality, early learning opportunities.
- Where every teenager has a meaningful summer job and a job on graduation.
- Where youth who make mistakes have restorative options.
- Makes a real contribution to solving the climate crisis to ensuring a thriving future.
- Where youth have a voice in all levels of city government.
I work hard for my kids. It's time my leaders do the same.
