WHAT: Vermont Stands with Ukraine All Day Fundraiser

WHO WE ARE
We are a group of local Vermont Ukrainian-Americans volunteers together with the Peace & Justice Center hosting an all day “Vermont Stands with Ukraine” fundraising event and a peaceful rally on Church Street in Burlington on Saturday, June 25th.
WHY THE FUNDRAISER
With this event we are hoping to provide a platform for people of Vermont to help. The main goal of the event is to raise funds to help those suffering on a daily basis from the horrific war in Ukraine. Over 12 million people have been displaced from their homes in Ukraine due to bombardment from the Russian army. Many people are in desperate need of shelter, transportation, basic hygiene supplies and food, and urgent medical care. This is a true tragedy impacting the entire world, not only those surviving and fighting on the grounds in Ukraine.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
The fundraiser would not be possible without participation from Church Street Marketplace. We are hoping to generate a buzz with the entire Church Street Marketplace participating and dedicating a day to Ukraine. Today, we ask for your help in raising funds for Ukraine. Please, fill out this form to indicate your interest and how you can participate by May 31st.
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU
We will add your business logos and participation details on the event website and in our printed handouts for the event. We are hoping the event will bring in additional traffic to offset any participation costs to the business.
DONATION DETAILS
We are hoping to raise a $50,000 for the World Central Kitchen (WCK) a US based worldwide non-profit organization that has built the largest food relief operation in Ukraine. They provide meals to people remaining in Ukraine in the midst of the conflict and feed Ukrainian families fleeing to neighboring countries. WCK serves in big cities, small villages, and even Russian-occupied territory, reaching more than 230 cities and towns in Ukraine. All money donated will specifically benefit their effort in Ukraine.
Peace & Justice is helping us with the financial bookkeeping for donations and they are handling all accounting and tax deductions receipts for this event. Instruction on how to send in your donations and receive a tax receipt will follow.
