Home for Good is a $103 million investment in a community-based housing and support services program for returning residents and the community violence intervention community. Administered by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) & the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA),
Home for Good provides long-term stability for people returning home from incarceration and people at high risk of gun violence. The
Home for Good program includes:
- Rental subsidies
- Funds for building new affordable housing
- Wraparound services to meet the needs of returning residents & people at risk of gun violence
- A training & technical assistance program for housing development teams
