MEP Anna Fotyga is a Polish politician, a Member of the European Parliament and member of the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs and Subcommittee on Security and Defence and is also the Secretary General of the ECR Party.
Mrs Fotyga has served in various positions in her career, including as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland and Chief of the Chancellery of the President.

Maryam Shariatmadari is an Iranian human rights activist who faced the death penalty for participating at the 2018 demonstrations in Iran.  Maryam's action of waving her white scarf in protest of the compulsory veil in Iran went viral and was violently arrested by the police.
Today, Maryam is a women's rights activist and lives in Canada, having escaped Iran due to fears for her life.
