About the Scholarship
The Caroline E. Hill scholarship was established in memory of Caroline E. Hill, a longtime resident of Carlisle who died in 1967 at the age of 93. Her will included a generous bequest to the town to provide financial assistance to deserving Carlisle residents. In addition, the town has other funds that are combined with this fund to provide scholarships.

Scholarship grants from the Caroline E. Hill Fund are available to Carlisle residents planning to continue their studies at any post-secondary schools including trade and vocational schools. The Carlisle Select Board awards the grants upon the advice and recommendation of the Carlisle Scholarship Advisory Committee. Grants are based on need. 

Applications do not require transcripts. The Carlisle Scholarship Advisory Committee will review the applications in June. The Carlisle Select Board makes final decisions.
Application Process
1. Complete the College Scholarship Service’s (CSS) Profile Registration Form. Do not forget to include the Caroline Hill Scholarship Advisory Committee’s CSS CODE 0520 on your Profile Registration form and the required CSS processing fee. You will complete the Profile Application Form online. Please complete this by April 15. This deadline is meant to ensure that the committee gets the Needs Analysis Report from CSS without which your application will not be considered.

2. Complete this application form. Additional materials may be sent to carolinehillscholarship@gmail.com or via mail to the Caroline Hill Scholarship Fund, Select Board, Town of Carlisle, 66 Westford Road, Carlisle, MA 01741.

3. The application deadline is June 30, 2023. Any materials or submissions received after this date will not be considered.

Applications do not require transcripts. The Carlisle Scholarship Advisory Committee will review applications in June. The Carlisle Select Board will make final decisions.
