Healthy Food Day of Action
Join us for our third Healthy Food Day of Action on Wednesday, May 17th.

This is a day when we march to City Hall and hand over petitions and letters from students and all New Yorkers who want food justice in New York City.

We are asking Mayor Adams and the NYC Council to fund school and community farm stands in all underserved, food-insecure, low-income neighborhoods so everyone has the same access to healthy choices, not just the most affluent neighborhoods.

9-10 am: Meet at Brooklyn Borough Hall - make signs and get ready to march
10-11am - March over Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall Park
11-12:30 - News conference, public speaking, reading of letters by students and adults PLUS  students meet. with representatives of the Mayor's Office and City Council Members to hand over letters and petitions

Want to join us? Want to help organize? Just fill in below.

If you are a teacher or principal or representing any school, just let us know if you'd like us to come in. We have volunteers to coach students and to assist teachers to write the letters as part of our food justice curriculum.

I would like to take part in the Healthy Food Day of Action. Check all that apply: I can *
I am a principal or teacher at a NYC public school or other educational center and we would like to take part as a field trip. Please notify me so we can set up. Letters must be ready to send by May 10. Petitions can be created immediately for students and everyone to get signatures. *
If you are joining the march - how many people will you bring. Count one if just you. *
Would you like to volunteer to set up and/or help us make this event totally rock? You can work with students to write letters, just publicize among friends... whatever you can do, would be great.

Can you sign our petition?  *
Any other comments, suggestions, or tell us what more you can do or if you think we should contact anyone else to make this event a joyful, effective success to get fresh food to all?
