1. Membership Benefits

Adult Members of VTW receive:

• Notice of and attendance rights for all Members’ Meetings (including the Annual General Meeting)
• Full voting privileges at Members’ Meetings (including the Annual General Meeting)
• One free concession item (food or non-alcoholic drink) per performance attended with paid ticket (non-transferable)
• Opening weekend Bring-a-Friend Benefit:  Members may purchase one additional ticket at 50% off (on the same order) for each opening weekend performance they attend with a paid ticket, using the Member Promo Code 
• Invitations to member-only events, promotions, and special offers

 2.       Membership Responsibilities

Members are expected to: 

• Support the mission and values of Village Theatre Waterdown
• Abide by applicable VTW bylaws, policies and this Membership Agreement
• Maintain respectful behaviour toward VTW volunteers and patrons
• Keep their contact information up to date

 3.       Access to By-Laws and Policies

VTW’s bylaws and relevant policies are available at anytime upon request.

By submitting this Agreement, you acknowledge that you have the ability to access these documents and agree to follow them as a condition of membership.

4.       Privacy and Use of Information

VTW collects your information solely for:

• Issuing membership benefits
• Providing notice of meetings
• Maintain accurate records
• Complying with legal and bylaw requirements

Your information is stored securely and accessed only by authorized VTW personnel.

5.       Email Communication Consent

By submitting this Membership Agreement, you consent to receive email communications from VTW for the following purposes:

• Official notices, including Annual General Meeting notices and other Members’ Meeting notices
• Membership administration, including confirmation of membership status, benefit information and renewal reminders
• Member-only communications, including invitations to special events, promotions and exclusive offers
• General marketing and promotional materials related to VTW’s productions, programs and activities including the VTW Newsletter

You may withdraw consent for promotional emails at any time by contacting VTW, but withdrawal of consent does not affect VTW’s ability to send you required governance notices under applicable laws and VTW’s bylaws.

6.       Membership Term & Fees

• Membership is valid for one season (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027)
• Adult Membership Fees:  $15
• Fees are non-refundable and not prorated
• Memberships are non-transferable

Memberships are valid for a single membership season running from July 1 to June 30 of the following year, regardless of the date of purchase. Voting rights are available only in respect of Annual General Meetings that occur during the period in which the individual is an active member. The AGM is typically held in September each year. To vote at an AGM, you must have an active membership before the AGM takes place. Memberships purchased after the AGM will not include voting rights for that year's AGM, although the member will continue to enjoy the other benefits of membership for the remainder of the membership season.

 7.       Payment of Membership Fee & Activation of Membership

Membership is not active until:

• VTW has received the completed Membership Agreement;
• VTW has received the $15 membership fee by e-transfer to hello@villagetheatrewaterdown.ca.  Please include your full name in the message field so VTW can match your payment to your Membership Agreement; and
• VTW has issued you a digital Membership Card confirming the Member’s status. 

VTW will make every effort to issue your membership card within 10 business days of receiving both the completed Membership Agreement and the membership fee. 

No membership benefits, voting rights or Member privileges apply until activation is complete.
