Thank you for your interest in covering the 2025 NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s, the Xtream powered by Mediacom 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank and the Avanti Windows and Doors Capitani Classic presented by Great Southern Bank.
This media credential application is for these three events only from July 31 through August 9. Please note, seasonal credentials will not be accepted for any of these three events. The credential will grant the media member access to the Infield and Media Center and is valid for the passholder only.
1. Print Media Outlets
A. Recurrently published: issues produced on a regular basis-at least quarterly.
B. Of general circulation: available online or newsstands with a subscription basis within minimum circulation of 2,000
C. Supported by paid advertising or a minimum of 2,000 regular paid subscriptions.
• Acceptable job roles include: editor, reporter, writer, columnist, staff photographer.
• Freelance journalists should have an accredited media outlet submit their credential request for them as proof of assignment.
• Administrative, analyst, sales, marketing, public relations, publishing, and technical job titles/roles do not qualify as accredited media.
2. Broadcast Media Outlets
• Accredited Broadcast Media Outlets include television and radio networks, live streaming networks, stations, and programs that feature business and consumer news.
• Acceptable job roles include anchors, broadcasters, editors, hosts, producers, directors, reporters, and technical professionals such as camera operators and engineers that are directly related to the production of an on-site news project.
3. Online Media Outlets
• Accredited Online Media Outlets must maintain a website that is primarily dedicated to news stories of either general or technical interest. The site(s) must be:
A. Updated on a regular basis, at least weekly.
B. Supported by paid advertising or in support of an accredited print publication.
C. Based, demonstrating a physical business address with working telephone contact numbers.
D. Demonstrate a monthly traffic in excess of 5,000 unique visitors.
Personal, non-commercial, or enthusiast websites do not qualify as accredited media.
4. Social Media Influencers
Knoxville Raceway reserves the right to accept or reject any request for credentials, regardless of Influencer status. To qualify as an Influencer, applicant must meet the following minimum criteria.
Facebook: 10,000 Likes/Follows
X-Twitter: 10,000 Followers.
Instagram: 10,000 Followers.
TikTok: 10,000 Followers.
YouTube: 5,000 Subscribers.
Deliverables | Agreement:
Influencers are expected to post a minimum of three (3) pieces of content leading up to, during, and after an event. Posts shall tag Knoxville Raceway in all related posts and regularly tag Knoxville Raceway in their posts, and use the Hashtags provided (when applicable).
1. Pre-Event Post: At least 24 hours prior to the event, the Influencer shall post across his/her channels an “I’m going to Knoxville Raceway for the [Event name, series]”- type post and tag Knoxville Raceway.
2. During the event: An “I am here” post of some kind, in keeping with the content style of the channel.
3. Post event: Some kind of review, recap in line with the content style of the channel.
Photography-based Influencers are expected to deliver an additional three (3) pieces of content for Knoxville Raceway to post to their channels and/or website in an agreed-upon manner.
Knoxville Raceway has the right to use or highlight any related content on any social channels, websites, broadcasts, or related owned assets. Knoxville Raceway may reach out to Influencers for specific programs, campaigns, or promotions.
5. Provisional Media
Knoxville Raceway reserves the right to grant provisional media status to individuals who are performing photographic or journalistic tasks, as prescribed by or as officially approved.
Media Credential Policies:
All Media Credentials issued by Knoxville Raceway are subject to acceptance of the following terms and conditions which the Accredited Party and Nominated Pass Holder accept and agree to abide by the following:
• All credential requests must be submitted by the media outlet’s editor, sports editor, sports director, or sports producer.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee credentials will be issued.
• Credentials will be issued to authorized personnel only for the purpose of providing timely news coverage of our events.
• A media outlet may only request a maximum of three credentials for these events (two photographer/videographer and one writer/editor).
• If, at any point, Knoxville Raceway reasonably suspects that any applicant is present SOLELY for resale and commercial purposes rather than for media and promotion, the applicant’s accreditation may be immediately suspended or revoked without notice.
• Freelance journalists and photographers, including those representing race team coverage, must be on a specific assignment and included on the application form submitted by the media outlet or race team assigning authority.
• Working media credentials will not be issued for non-working employees of an outlet, including, but not limited to individuals working in a media outlet’s marketing, promotions, sales, advertising, public relations, etc. departments.
• Knoxville Raceway grants photographers the consent to use their photos for any content not harmful to Knoxville Raceway.
• Knoxville Raceway reserves the right to sequester content to protect drivers, teams, track officials, and partners, as required by law or requested in order by family in the case of pending investigation or following an on-track accident.
• All media credentials allow infield access and Media Center access.
• No “blank” credentials will be issued.
• All applications will be carefully screened. Knoxville Raceway reserves the right to approve or deny credential requests, as well as the number of credentials and access issued.
• The credential pass is for the use of the pass holder and cannot be transferred or reassigned. Transfer, reassignment, intoxication (alcohol or otherwise), or misuse of the Pass is cause for suspension or revocation. The pass remains the property of Knoxville Raceway and may be withdrawn at any time.
• Knoxville Raceway takes no responsibility for, and the accredited party agrees to indemnify Knoxville Raceway of against all liability resulting from, personal injury, death, damage, or loss of any kind suffered or sustained by any person using the Pass without the express written permission of Knoxville Raceway.
• No confrontations between credentialed media and Knoxville Raceway officials, security team members, or law enforcement will be tolerated at any time and will result in revocation of the pass.
• Team photographers/videographers and public relations representatives are not guaranteed credentials due to past abuse and fraud. This will be screened carefully.
• Submission of credentials with false information will result in immediate denial of credentials.
Review and Approval:
• Upon review and approval of a media outlet's application, appropriate media credentials will be arranged and confirmation will be sent to you via email.
• Each person receiving a credential must pick up
and sign for his/her credential at the Knoxville Raceway Credential Office
located north of the track at 1302 N. Lincoln St. Knoxville, IA 50138. Photo
identification is required at time of credential pick up. List all names as
they appear on photo identification.
• Due to space constraints the working area in the Press Box is reserved for track and series officials, video broadcast teams and only a few members of the media.
• Knoxville Raceway will provide credentials with appropriate access and parking only to those who are on assignment from an accredited media outlet for the purpose of providing timely coverage of the event.
Vests:
• All credentialed members will be provided with a vest from Knoxville Raceway. These will have our logo and a number. The vests may be picked up with your credentials.
• Vests will be required to be worn from the time cars fire engines for heat and until the close of victory lane. Vests remain visible, at ALL LOCATIONS in in the infield. Failure to wear the required vest will result in credential being immediately suspended or revoked without prior warnings or notice.
• Vests are issued and numbered for the the use of the assigned holder and cannot be transferred or reassigned.
• Vests are allowed to remain in your possession each day. The vests must be returned and checked-in to Knoxville Raceway officials at the conclusion of the Knoxville Nationals Finale. We will have a vest check-in station inside the media center.
• A lost vest or failure to return the vest on time may result in a $100 fine and the possibility of future credential requests being denied.
Photographers/Videographers are allowed in the designated approved areas behind barriers from turn one, turn two, the backstretch, turn three and turn four.
• Access to the outer perimeter of the fencing, on the outside of the track looking in, is only allowed during hot laps and time trials.
• The tech area, including the scales, is off limits to all media. Only employees, officials, TV and Radio broadcast crew are allowed on the concrete tech area.
• A map showing approved areas is below in this application.
• Victory Lane Access: Only those issued Orange vests will have Victory Lane access. Yellow vests will not have victory lane access.
• All media must enter victory lane on the east end (by the flag pole). No media are allowed to enter victory lane from the west side (scales/tech area). The tech area is off-limits to all media.
• No media outlets will be permitted to utilize GoPro or similar cameras on any cars or any fixed locations at the track without prior written consent of Knoxville Raceway.
• Drones are not permitted over Knoxville Raceway without prior written consent of Knoxville Raceway.
Credentials Office and Media Center:
• The Credential Office will be open from Noon until 7pm each race day. It will NOT be open on Monday, August 4 or Tuesday,
August 5.
• The Xtream powered by Mediacom Media Center is located in the Bingley Building on the Fairgrounds.

• Media Room Policy Reminders
• The media center will stay open for approximately one hour following the press conference each night.
• We are committed to supporting our credentialed media members and as a gesture of that gratitude we do provide food, snacks, and beverages in the media room on select days during these events. These provisions are intended exclusively for those actively working with proper media credentials. Under no circumstances should food or drinks be shared with guests, friends, or family members, nor should items be removed from the media room for outside distribution, unless given permission by our staff. If our media room staff report any abuse of this policy—including bringing uncredentialed guests into the media room for food or taking provisions outside the media room—will result in immediate revocation of your media credentials for the remainder of this season and all of next season. No warnings will be issued. We appreciate your cooperation.
