Hello! The Milpa Agricultural Placement Project (MAPP) is an initiative from the University of North Texas's Department of History to study food history, culture, and politics in North Texas.
We are currently collecting oral histories related to food and agriculture in North Texas. If you live in North Texas and want to speak about your experiences visiting grocery stores, eating at restaurants, cooking family recipes, or other food-related memories — we want to talk to you!
Oral histories will typically take around 40-70 minutes to record, and can be conducted in person or over Zoom. All oral histories will be archived within the University of North Texas's Oral History Program. You will be allowed to control how accessible your oral history is to the public and you may ask us to avoid certain questions.
