FABnyc rents space to organizations and programs who work in alignment with our mission and values.

We rarely offer space for personal events.

We build quotes based on individual needs in an effort to keep costs as affordable as possible while still covering our overhead. Please submit as many details as possible in your form.

Proceeds from space rentals go towards sustaining FAB's community arts programs in the Lower East Side.

STARTING RATES - WEEKDAYS (10am-5pm)

**NOTE: we have a minimum 2 hour booking for rehearsals/meetings and a minimum 4 hour booking for events + we rent on the hour (not the half hour) to accommodate our subsidized rehearsal program.

Rehearsals or meetings which go later than 5pm will move into our evening events bracket below. Our starting rates for events reflect the 4 hour minimum with all hours between 10am and 5pm.

Rehearsals & Meetings

Rehearsals or meetings for small groups (under 25 people)

2 hour minimum

$25/hr + a $20 cleaning fee for non-profit/community groups
$40/hr + a $20 cleaning fee for commercial/for-profit groups

Included: Use of our tables and chairs (to be set up by renter), bluetooth speaker

Not Included: Use of technical equipment, approval for food

Events

Public events, ticketed events, or convenings (more than 25 people)

$218 for non-profit/community groups
$258 for commercial/for-profit groups

Included: Use of our tables and chairs (to be set up by renter & FAB staff), bluetooth speaker, cleaning

Not included: Use of theatrical lighting in our Black Box Theater, use of technical equipment, approval for food

Note: we have a minimum 4 hour booking for all evening, weekend and federal holiday rentals. Our starting rates reflect the 4 hour minimum for any rental ending later than 5pm.

Evening Events in our Black Box Theater

Public events, ticketed events, or convenings (more than 25 people)

$400 for non-profit/community groups
$455 for commercial/for-profit groups

Included: Use of our tables and chairs (to be set up by renter & FAB staff), a lighting look using our theatrical lights (no cues, set by FAB staff with renter's input), use of our Studio as a green room space, bluetooth speaker, cleaning

Not Included: Use of our projector & screen, approval for food

Space Descriptions:

First floor theater: Seats 65 max; 74 person capacity limit; 22' wide x 58' long with fixed platforms for seating; playing area 22' wide x 36' long; height to grid 11'; theatrical lighting system, work lights, two large windows with black out shades, floor is painted masonite over plywood and padding. Maximum seating is for 60 people. Theater adjoins a large lobby and two all gender restrooms, drinking fountains. First floor is accessed by elevator or stairs, theater and one restroom are ADA accessible.

Second floor studio: 74 person capacity, 22' wide x 60' long x 11' high; sprung wood dance floor, white walls, dimmable lighting, five large windows. Studio adjoins two all gender restrooms. Studio and one restroom are ADA compliant including walk in shower. Hallway with drinking fountain. Access via elevator or stairs.
