MOVING ON UP
Saturday, November 2, 2019 and Sunday, November 3, 2019
Main Beach, Fernandina Beach, FL
The Right Whale Festival is MOVING ON UP...to Amelia Island, Florida! The 2019 Right Whale Festival will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 and Sunday, November 3, 2019 at a new location at Main Beach in Fernandina Beach, Florida. As you know, fewer than 450 North Atlantic right whales remain, and raising awareness of their plight is critical to their survival. With your support, we are excited to bring the festival to another community and continue to raise awareness about these critically endangered whales, their habitat, and conservation needs. In this new location, the festival will be extended to two-days and include many exciting new features, such as a seashell whale mosaic on the beach, multiple group athletic events, a blessing of the whales, new local music, and more. Please check out our website and follow us on Facebook for more details.
The Right Whale Festival is a joint effort, and is organized by local non-profits, government agencies and more than one hundred dedicated volunteers, as such; we rely heavily on sponsorship to make the festival possible. As we move in to this new community and expand the festival, the festival has the potential to reach even larger audiences. Your support is more important than ever. Together, we can protect right whales from the threat of extinction.
