Storage Policy Straw Poll
Problem statement: Our current policy forbids leaving projects in the makerspace, but people do it anyway. Because there's no framework for doing this they almost never leave contact information or a deadline for when they'll pick it up, and sometimes the projects are left for a week or more. To put some structure around this we are proposing a "parking pass" system where members could find an out of the way corner or shelf to leave their projects for up to 48 hours if the proper pass is attached.
Should we allow projects to be left in the space with a 48 hour parking pass?
Yes - if people fill out the form and attach it to their projects
No - the policy of "no projects left in the space" should be kept
Should parking passes be free to members?
No, charge $5
I don't care
I hate this entire idea
Where should the parked projects be kept?
No specific location, just trust members to find an out of the way location that does not interfere with mobility, tools, or workbenches.
Designate a shelf or two
Each area lead should...
designate a place for parked projects
be allowed to forbid parking passes in their areas entirely
do nothing, we'll have one policy cover the whole space
Limit how many parking passes a member can have?
Limit to one pass per week
I'm voting against parking passes entirely
