With the support of the Kresge Foundation, River Network is able to offer funding and technical assistance to support organizations in designing and launching their own community leadership development programs.

Community leadership development programs are intentionally designed to build capacity of community members to fill formal and informal leadership roles. This strategy brings local expertise and knowledge into decision making, ensures more equitable representation in elected and appointed positions, and elevates emerging leaders into positions of power.
