Thank you for your interest in applying to adopt an animal through TREAT Pet Rescue! The purpose of this application is to get a thorough understanding of your family's lifestyle, interests, and needs to make sure we find a match that works for both you and the animal.

Please understand that our organization is run entirely by volunteers, and due to the various demands on our time we are not able to respond personally to every application we receive. I understand that dogs bark as a natural form of expression and communication; that dogs require training to develop functional behaviors in different circumstances; that dogs require potty training whenever they come to a new environment, even if they have been potty trained somewhere else; and that dogs will shed, or require regular grooming, or both. I am prepared to accommodate these needs when I incorporate a dog into my family.

I understand that TREAT Pet Rescue requires applicants over the age of 70 to provide a co-adopter at the time of adoption. If this applies to me, I will identify a co-adopter or discuss my options with the adoption team.

I understand that TREAT Pet Rescue reserves the right to reject an application for any reason.

I understand that TREAT Pet Rescue is a pet rescue organization that requires an adoption donation to adopt a pet. This ensures, in part, that each animal is given preventative care, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip, prior to adoption.

I acknowledge that, due to the unpredictable nature of animals, there are certain inherent risks and dangers associated with interacting with them. I voluntarily agree to assume full responsibility for all such risks and waive and release TREAT Pet Rescue and its owners, directors, volunteers, employees, and representatives from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, injury, or damages of any kind or nature whatsoever arising from or relating to meeting with or interacting with an adoptable animal through TREAT Pet Rescue.
