Knowing what you are looking for in a college will help to narrow your search, but what happens when you don’t know what you want?  The presenters will discuss various facets of college fit and how you can learn more about everything that colleges have to offer.

The task of applying to colleges can be daunting and overwhelming.  Should you use Common App or school apps? Are optional essays really optional?  If a school allows for more than one teacher recommendation, should I get more than one?  What is the Self-Reported Academic Record?  Should I apply to a highly selective college?  The presenters will answer all these questions and more during this session.

Do colleges look at the ACT and SAT results differently?  Is one better than the other?  What if I don’t think my test score is a direct reflection of my ability?  What if my score is in the middle 50% profile, and what if it’s below?  When should I apply Test-Optional and when should I submit my test scores?  The presenters will discuss everything test related and how they are, or aren’t, utilized in the admission and scholarship processes.
