Please fill in this form to apply for funding from the ICMTA Diversity Scholarship.

When completing this form, please consult the ICMTA Diversity Scholarship Fund web-page which provides a lot of relevant background information about the Fund.

In your answers please provide us with as much information as you can, to avoid, where possible, having to contact you for further information after your initial submission.

After receiving your application the Members’ Circle will contact you within three weeks of the submission deadline for any further required information. Please allow 6 weeks from submission deadline for the full process to be completed.

If your application is successful you will be asked to submit detailed figures, including receipts or official estimates, to support your request. You will be asked to sign an agreement document with the ICMTA before any funds can be released.

After completion of your training, we would like you to write a short piece about yourself for the ICMTA members’ newsletter within 18 months of receiving the scholarship.

Successful applicants will be granted one year of free ICMTA Teacher-in-Training membership.

Please note:

The Fund is intended solely for people with a lived experience of the criteria indicated in the ICMTA’s Diversity Policy and in the application form. Applications, however worthy, that articulate a commitment to the issues but do not come from somebody with the “lived experience” will not be considered.
Applications cannot be received from people who have already completed a teacher training with one of the ICMTA recognised schools.
The Fund is not able to support applications for participation at training pre-requisite workshops.
Applicants can apply for maximum 2 rounds of funding.
As part of the agreement with the ICMTA for receiving the funds, you agree to write a short article to be included in the ICMTA newsletter sharing your experience of the training and teaching with the wider membership of the association.
