CSTEP Interest Form
"Computer Systems: Three Easy Pieces" (CSTEP), when complete, will present an introduction to computer systems from a software-systems perspective. The intended audience is first-year or second-year students in CS or related fields. It will focus on three major conceptual pieces: Unix (how to use modern Unix systems and its underlying concepts), the C programming language (from the ground up), and the Machine (assembly programming and a high-level view of how hardware works). If you are interested in hearing about CSTEP in the coming months, please answer one question (below) and leave your email address here. Thank you! Don't worry, you won't get many emails, maybe one or two at most.
What one topic should we absolutely cover in an introduction to computer systems?
If you are in school, which school? If in industry, where?
