McIntyre Youth Leadership Challenge: Participant Registration
The McIntyre Youth Leadership Challenge strives to inspire and encourage high schoolers to demonstrate the qualities of good citizenship by developing the skills required to seek solutions to local community issues and concerns by engaging in research, public speaking, advocacy and community action.

The Youth Leadership Challenge competition occurs in coordination with the NC Bar Association Young Lawyers Division's annual Law Day programming. As part of the competition, students prepare and deliver a speech that summarizes a local public policy issue or concern, present their research findings, and advocate for a solution. The objective of the competition is to inspire other members of their community to become involved and support efforts to resolve the identified issue.

Monetary donations are made in honor of the competition's winners to non-profit organizations that are engaged in addressing the community issue or concern raised in the student's speech.

Students must register below by January 14, 2019 to be eligible for the challenge. Finalists will be invited to deliver their speech in Raleigh on May 3, 2019.
