Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Application
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an appointed group of teens that functions like a student government. TAB members help plan and implement teen/young adult library programs, earn volunteer hours, and help in the selection of new young adult materials for the library.
TAB is a great way to have fun, make friends, and become an integral part of the library system. TAB members also develop leadership, public speaking, and writing skills that look great on any college or job application!
Sequoyah Regional Library System TAB is open to all rising 6th through rising 12th grade students who reside in the Sequoyah Regional Library area of Gilmer, Pickens, or Cherokee Counties. The TAB term runs from August until July, unless there are openings on the board. In the case of an opening, the term can start upon interview and acceptance of an applicant. TAB meeting attendance is mandatory! These meetings take place on the first Monday of each month at the R.T. Jones Memorial Library from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, unless there is a holiday or break, in which case it will be moved to a different Monday.
Interested teens should complete this application and submit it for review. Once the application period closes on May 25, 2026, applicants will be contacted with next steps by May 30.
The 2026-2027 TAB application is open from April 17, 2026 - May 25, 2026.
