Point Option Application

Point Option is a Newport News Public Schools non-traditional high school program designed to foster personal and academic growth in 9th-12th grade students with diverse learning styles utilizing a small, yet supportive and challenging environment.  

The selection of students for Point Option will be by review of an admission committee. School bus transportation is provided from all five traditional high schools. All Point Option students must be registered NNPS students upon enrollment. Students who accept the offer of enrollment in Point Option must remain enrolled for the entire school year and comply with all Point Option regulations pertaining to attendance and behavior. 

**UPDATE: As of September 1, 2024 we are collecting applications as a WAITLIST for the 2024-2025 school year. If/when space becomes available the applicant and family will be contacted for an interview.**
