As per the Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC), R&D is defined according to the OECD standard as comprising creative and systematic work undertaken in order to increase the stock of knowledge - including knowledge of humankind, culture and society - and to devise new applications of available knowledge.

  • The PhD internships should ideally be 60 working days.
  • Both part-time and full-time options are available.
  • If you require a shorter or longer duration for internships, please get in touch with our team discuss these options - we can work with you to ensure the internship is scoped to meet the needs of your organisation.

To derive the benefits enabled by this program, industry partners contribute financially towards the cost of the PhD student. The PhD Internships with our PhD students are paid internships. We suggest contributions of $9,000 as a stipend for an internship equivalent to 60 days. This is the same rate as the RTP scholarship. The Australian Government may provide tax incentives for these R&D projects.
