National Ambassador Appearance Proposal
Jacqueline Woodson's platform as National Ambassador for Young People's Literature is READING = HOPE x CHANGE (What’s Your Equation?), which encourages young people to think about – and beyond – the moment they’re living in, the power they possess, and the impact reading can have on showing them ways in which they can create the hope and the change they want to see in the world.

We are anticipating a high volume of requests for Jacqueline. Thank you for the time you're taking on your proposal and we ask for your understanding as we read and evaluate all the proposals for a limited number of spots.

The deadline for all appearance requests is February 5, 2018. Please only submit proposals for 2018 appearances. You will have the opportunity to re-submit for 2019.

We strongly encourage locations to include other organizations and groups in your community when writing your proposal.

We are specifically looking for events that align with Jacqueline’s platform and the mission of the program.
