Join a dedicated group of like-minded youth supporting biodiversity in Vancouver! Get hands-on experience creating wildlife habitat while using citizen science to measure our impact to biodiversity. Learn to identify native bees, insects, and plants and also how to make plant medicines from the native wildflowers that grow in our meadows.
Upon completion of the program you will earn a small honorarium for your time & commitment, gain community service hours to build your resume, and receive a certificate of participation from EYA.
This 8-week program is open to youth aged 14-19. Registration closes Friday September 6, 2019. Space is limited, so get your application in early!
Dates: Saturdays (except October 5th), September 14 - November 9, 10:30am-2:00pm
Location: Strathcona Community Gardens (759 Malkin Ave) plus field trips to other sites
