Documentation of Rights Violations from Campus Palestinian Solidarity Protests
This form is to collect information on specific rights violations that have stemmed from university and police crackdowns on Gaza solidarity encampments and other campus organizing in support of Palestinian rights. The information will be incorporated into a communication to United Nations Special Rapporteurs and human rights experts for the following mandates:
  • Right to freedom of opinion/expression

  • Right to freedom of assembly/association

  • Right to adequate housing

  • Human rights defenders

  • Right to education

  • Freedom of religion or religious belief

  • Xenophobia/Racism

  • Violence against women

  • Rights of Indigenous Peoples

  • Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment and Torture

The communication will also be addressed to the Special Rapporteur Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese. Please submit information regarding incidents of violations of these rights by Wednesday, May 8, 2024, for consideration for inclusion in the communication. We are requesting material that is already in the public domain (references can include articles, statements, published videos and photos, etc), not confidential information. The submission is being assembled in coordination with the National Students for Justice in Palestine and local student groups at different universities across the U.S. We may contact you for further information/clarification. Thank you for your work and your solidarity.
