EPSC/DPS Women in Planetary Science Discussion Hour 2019 - Geneva, Switzerland
This event is an informal meeting for all interested parties. This means you do not have to be a woman to support women in science or be interested in learning some professional development tips - for yourself, or to share with others :).
The main topic for this year is a discussion of the complexity and diversity of the identities and systems we live in. We will discuss how to achieve more diversity and inclusion in our scientific communities. This program will start with the basics and leave lots of room for discussion among the group.
Date: Wednesday, Sept. 18th, 2019
Time: Lunchtime! 12:00-1:15
Place: Conference venue, Saturn Lecture Room
12:00-12:15 Lunch Pickup
12:15 Start of Formal Program
1:15 End of Program
***The deadline for ordering a lunch was Sept. 7th. But we have a few spots left so still fill out the form below and you will get an e-mail with your registration status.***
Thanks to generous sponsorship from AURA (Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy) and SwRI (Southwest Research Institute) we are able to provide box lunches for the first ~200 registrants. Please register even if you are not requesting a lunch so we can balance the attendance size vs room size :). All are welcome, registration is not required to attend the event, but pre-registration is required to receive a lunch. If you register and find you cannot attend let Kelsi (e-mail below) know and I will pass your lunch on to someone on the wait list.
How do you know if you are registered and whether you are guaranteed a lunch? You will receive an e-mail from kelsi.singer (at)
with the subject "Confirmation - EPSC/DPS Women in Planetary Science Discussion Hour 2019".
