Her Life (Her Mind, Her Body, Her Future)

Thank you for your interest in "Her Life," a program with the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center and the Sadie Nash Leadership Project.

This is a program for young women ages 16-20 who live and/or go to school in Brooklyn. Participants will be able to earn a stipend for their time in the program.

We will focus on social justice issues impacting young women, media literacy, healthy relationships, self-care, conflict resolution and violence prevention, community organizing, and leadership development.

This program begins on March 14 and will culminate with the Arts to End Violence gallery show on May 25. Program participants will play a hands on role in the gallery show, whether through submitting an art project, or otherwise supporting the event. Applicants should be interested in and open to arts focused activities and group work. No prior experience is necessary.

Workshops will take place in Crown Heights and/or Bed-Stuy on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm. Please only apply if you are available during this time block.
