Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop 2020
The Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop 2020 is a competition organized by EUROAVIA, the European Association of Aerospace Students, in collaboration with Airbus and with the support of ArianeGroup.

The competition is divided into two phases:

PHASE 1 : Online Round.
Teams will design, build and fly a low cost reusable rocket which is destabilized by the movement of water stored within an unpressurized tank. The rocket design shall incorporate control mechanisms to manage the dynamic forces introduced by the sloshing water to maximise range, time of flight and liquid payload capacity.
The controlling mechanism can be passive and/or active and its performance is a key aspect of the design.

Teams are then required to submit a report that will be evaluated by both Airbus and ArianeGroup and certificates will be awarded to teams that achieve a 60% grading according to the Competition Rules.

Online training webinars held by Airbus professionals will be provided to the participants.

PHASE 2 : Physical Round.
- The top 5 teams will be hosted by EUROAVIA Terrassa in July 2020 to build and fly their rockets.
- All costs associated with accommodation, meals and rocket components will be covered.
- Travel costs shall be supported by the teams advancing to this phase.

An additional certificate will be awarded to teams that advance to the Physical Round.
