We want to support you in finding the best possible program for your family and by submitting an interest form we can help you along that path. This is not an application and completing this interest form does not guarantee placement. Upon completion, a enrollment team member will contact you you within 5 business days.
High-quality preschool is available in Muskegon and Oceana County for families at more than 20 locations in district buildings and community-based organizations. Placement is prioritized based on income and preschool can be FREE for many families. Other factors like special needs, foster care and high risk are also considered for placement. Classes run Monday-Thursday during the school year (times vary by center) with full-day and half-day options available.
Definition of Programs:
Early Head Start - This program is for low-income families with pregnant women, infants and toddlers up to age 3. Weekly home visits will support parents, both mothers and fathers, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children.
Head Start Preschool - A federally funded preschool program for low-income families with children ages 3 and 4. We partner with parents to help ensure their children's basic needs are met so they have the freedom to learn, interact with peers and grow intellectually.
GSRP - A state funded preschool program for children that are 4 years old. The program is to encourage the development of children and prepare them for successful entry into Kindergarten using developmentally appropriate practices.
