    2017年7月13日，一生致力於中國民主自由事業的劉曉波先生與世長辭，一座中國人為自由而不懈奮鬥的豐碑巍然屹立。

    先生之恙，為系獄所生，吾人當為先生紀其事；先生之萎，為中國而死，吾人當為先生續其志；長歌痛哭，為先生身後之中國。于茲發起成立劉曉波先生追思會。

    劉曉波先生追思會，將擇日為劉曉波先生舉辦（網路）公祭，設立劉曉波先生永久（網路）靈堂，持續推出並最終印行紀念劉曉波先生文章，逝者已矣，來者可追，凡我同道，皆可以簽名加入及留言，以托哀思。

        The Gods have withheld their blessings and taken away one of pureness and sincerity. Because of his death, rivers and mountains have changed their colour, and the sun and moon have lost their light!

 On 13 July 2017, Mr. Liu Xiaobo, who had devoted his life to the cause of democracy and freedom in China, passed away. With his passing a monument of the Chinese people’s relentless struggle for freedom has been erected.

        Mr. Liu’s disease was a disease of imprisonment, and we shall record his deeds for him; Mr. Liu’s death was a death for China, and we shall carry on his fight. We cry bitterly, for the China left behind by Mr. Liu. Here we call for the establishment of the “Mr. Liu Xiaobo Memorial Alliance”.
       
        Mr. Liu Xiaobo Memorial Alliance will pick a day for the holding of a public (online) memorial for Mr. Liu Xiaobo, set up a permanent (online) memorial hall, and publish and eventually print articles commemorating Mr. Liu Xiaobo. We cannot change the past but we still hold the future. All fellow supporters may choose to join the Alliance by signing up; you may also leave a message to express your grief.
