Youth Opera Open Houses
Though opera may sound scary or weird, we are here to show you that anyone can sing classical music (horned helmet and spear not required) AND have fun!

This fall, Sarasota Youth Opera will present the Benjamin Britten's THE LITTLE SWEEP with a special prologue written by Stage Director Martha Collins and Youth Opera Music Director Jesse Martins. Set in Boston in the early 19th century, The Little Sweep tells the story of a group of children who, with the help of a kind nursery maid, work to free a young apprentice chimney sweep from his cruel master. All singers enrolled for the Fall 2018 Semester will appear in THE LITTLE SWEEP.

No prior experience is necessary | All skill levels are welcome | No need to prepare a musical piece
