Prerequisites to becoming a USCCA Instructor
The USCCA Certified Instructor Training Workshop covers the USCCA Code of Conduct, Instructor Mistakes and How To Avoid Them, Teaching Best Practices, Managing a Safe Live Fire Range, Teaching the USCCA Power Point Presentation, Planning a Class, Virtual Range Exercise, Live Fire Exercise, Shooting Qualification, Evaluations, Written Test and Review. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Workshop, Certified Instructors will receive a Certificate and Instructor Card.
The Cost for the Instructor Certification Workshop is $347. This is a fixed price set by the USCCA and is paid directly to the Training Counselor (additional range fees may apply) . The Instructor Toolkit ($103) and Online e-learning Component ($147) are purchased from the USCCA.
1.Purchase the USCCA Instructor Toolkit and eLearning Course (contact member serviceThe entire class runs 2 days from 8:30am - 6pm.s at 1-877-677-1919). Cost: 250.00
Make sure to tell them you are taking your course with Carolann Puzio instructor # 1168069 to insure the 250.00 package fee.
2. Complete the online pre training/e-learning sessions and pass with a 90% or better. Avg time: 6-8 hrs. Pay attention to the modules, this is what you will be teaching as a USCCA instructor.
3. Attend and complete the USCCA Certified Instructor course. (time: 16-20 hrs ) The fee for the instructor workshop is a set fee of $347 plus there is an additional range fee for a total of 397.00 which is due at time of registration . Class fee is non-refundable but is transferable to another class with at least 24 hours cancellation notice is given.

The entire class runs 2 days from 8:00am - 6pm. with working lunch
Attendance does not guarantee that you will be certified. if you do not meet the standards of the evaluations and practical exercises, you will be offered training and educational opportunities to help you complete the course successfully.
