What is this survey?
This survey is part of the West Center City Neighborhood Planning Process, which began in September 2025 and continues through June 2026. Wilmington Alliance is leading this effort in collaboration with citywide partners and West Center community members. Our goal is to determine the next steps needed to strengthen and support the community for current residents. To learn more about Wilmington Alliance, visit their website at

Will this plan have a real impact?
Yes! Wilmington Alliance is committed to organizing citywide partners behind action to help the West Center City community. Together, we are already advancing safety and wellness through tangible initiatives such as:
Creating safe spaces for youth to gather & grow
- Installing additional lighting and cameras to deter crime and enhance security
- Hosting community clean-ups to promote pride and stewardship in our neighborhood
- Working with the Wilmington Police Department to increase visibility and support in high-crime areas, including 7th & West Park and West 8th St
- Partnering with local organizations to provide resources for our unhoused residents, youth, and those experiencing mental health challenges
Wilmington Alliance remains committed to introducing new programs, resources, and investments to bring this plan to life.
