STEM Enrollment
This upcoming school year, East McDowell Middle School will offer a STEM option for students. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM represents an interdisciplinary approach to learning where academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons. This enables students to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. STEM integration also helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. These skills are essential in academic settings AND in the workforce and everyday life. 

Due to limited availability, the STEM option will be available to students, pending interest and teacher referral, until the seats are filled. Once the seats are filled, we will begin a waiting list.  To enroll your student into a STEM cohort complete the information below.
