Expanding the membership of the Force will be contingent on available resources and the capacity of our partners and WITNESS. The Deepfakes Rapid Response Force analyzes some of the most difficult deepfake cases and claims of deepfakes, and provides a timely assessment to local journalists and fact-checkers. Members of the Force use their independent judgment and expertise to mitigate potential crises, promote more equitable access to current detection approaches, and ensure people’s right to reliable information.
