*Please note - this is a mixed ages adult and youth class & students must have their own iPhone.

What is your student's current age?
Super 8 is Great: We will be walking around downtown (within a 1 mile radius) of The Refinery to shoot these films. Students will be supervised by the instructor at all times during these excursions.
I agree to allow my child to participate in filming excursions with the class. I understand that if I do not agree, my child cannot fully participate in the Super 8 is Great! class.

Mechanical Eye Microcinema is a volunteer-operated, non-profit organization powered by fundraisers and donations from our community. These contributions help us acquire the resources we need to enrich our classes and provide students with supplies, equipment, a place to film, and a hands-on, participatory and supportive filmmaking experience!
Tuition for the 6-week class is $135 for members. Tuition for the 4-week class is $90. If you are in need of financial sponsorship for your student, or if you'd like to sponsor another student, please email us at
Tuition is due on the first day of class. Payments can be made via cash or check to Mechanical Eye Microcinema. Please put the class name on your checks!
Mechanical Eye Microcinema & class instructors will post digital versions of all work made in classes online. Any photos, recorded (video or audio) and written materials created for and/or during Mechanical Eye Microcinema classes may be used for promotional purposes by Mechanical Eye Microcinema & class instructors in the future.
