The Evansville Police Department, Building A Safer Evansville, Janesville Mobilize for Change and the UW-Madison Police Department’s Pride Team are proud to present a workshop on LGBTQ+ and Law Enforcement in the fall of 2020. The goal of this workshop is to provide law enforcement officers with the resources, tools, and information necessary to enhance the cultural competency of their local law enforcement agencies. Officers from regional police and sheriff’s departments will gather on September 1st to learn about: transgender biology, LGBTQ+ definitions and terminology, and the importance of intersectionality in policing and enforcement. BASE is also committed to providing local resources that police can use to aid the LGBTQ+ community.

This course cost is $10, with lunch provided and is expected to last around 6 hours.
