Vancouver Urban Farming Census 2017-2019
DISCLAIMER: The Census is currently for farms within the City of Vancouver that grow AND sell food/flowers. We are unable to provide the honorarium for farms growing outside of the City.

Dear urban farmers,

On behalf of the Vancouver Urban Farming Society (VUFS), I invite you to participate in the 2017-2019 Vancouver Urban Farming Census.

As you may be aware, the City of Vancouver is in the process of evaluating the impacts of the Urban Farm Guidelines developed in 2016. Census data will help us advocate for policy changes to ensure that the Guidelines support, rather than hinder, the continued growth of the urban farming in Vancouver. We hope to understand how the urban farming sector has changed since 2016 when the City introduced new Urban Farm Guidelines; the main challenges and barriers faced by farmers; the economic, ecological, and social contributions of urban farms; and specific ways that city policies can support the sector.

The survey should take 30-45 minutes to complete and includes questions about your organization’s structure, food sales, and community impacts. All data will be aggregated to maintain your anonymity. You will be provided a $75 honorarium once you have completed the survey.

This Project is made possible with funding from the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia.
