Congressional Academy 2020 Application
Join this two-week opportunity to deepen your understanding of our nation's history and government and interact with peers from throughout the country! The Congressional Academy for American History and Civics will be held July 11-25, 2020 in Baltimore. It is open to high school students, especially students who will be in eleventh and twelfth grade in Fall 2020.

Please apply as a team of two students (including yourself) and one teacher from the same school or district. The Congressional Academy will occur at the same time and on the same campus as a Presidential Academy for teachers.  Although there will be separate educational sessions, there will be joint field trips and time to discuss with your teacher what you have learned.

Each applicant (student and teacher) needs to fill out and submit an application form by April 30, 2020.  We highly recommend preparing and saving your short essay in another document and pasting the text into this form, so that no information is lost. If you encounter any difficulties submitting this form, please email congressionalacademy@civiced.org.
