Support the Hurricane Ida Housing Revitalization Platform

We need our politicians, policy makers and officials to commit to these basic life saving demands for the people! The people of southeast Louisiana deserve better. We call on our leaders to commit to protecting all renters, unhoused/displaced people and working-class homeowners.

The people's comprehensive housing demands include:

- $500 million in rental assistance to SE Louisiana.
- Eviction court must stay closed UNTIL ALL RENTAL ASSISTANCE IS DISTRIBUTED!
- Any entity or landlord receiving federal funds for relief must issue a 30 day notice for any evictions post-moratorium.
- Dedicated bilingual staff and staff to help out folks with disabilities applying for assistance.
- Direct payouts of rental assistance to the people.
- All government funding needs to accept all forms of identification [for an individual] even if they have different names listed.
- Right of return of all residents displaced by Hurricane Ida.
- Right of return to renters in buildings that must be repaired.
- Closing eviction court until 12/31/21.
- Entergy must be "deprivatized" and return ownership back to the public.
- A transition to "green" energy (solar, wind, etc.)
