"Meet Your Mentor" gives you direct access to UBC students and real professionals across Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Science, and Arts, so you can explore your future major and career before you have to choose.  


📍Date & Time: Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
📍Location:  The Great Hall, Second floor of the AMS Nest building, 6133 University Blvd, Vancouver
💵 Registration Fee: $15 per student (includes the student and up to one accompanying parent/guardian)
 
 Registration is confirmed only after payment has been received. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

1st Seminar: 

"What You Need to Know Before Choosing a University"

"Dare to Challenge Yourself" - Guest Speaker


Campus Tour: 

Students will tour the UBC building related to their 1st choice major.

2nd Seminar (Students Only): 

Break out into small groups by major and have real, honest conversations with current UBC students and working professionals in that field.

3rd Seminar: Professionals from each field will be stationed at individual tables in the Great Hall. 

Students and parents are free to walk around and visit any table that interests them, not just your selected major, to ask questions and connect directly with the mentors.

What to Bring: A positive, proactive mindset, ready to ask questions and make the most of your time with the mentors.

*The event runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Please note that lunch is not included, so please eat beforehand or bring a snack if needed.

Here's a look at some of the professionals joining us this year, organized by major. More mentors will be added as they are confirmed.


Commerce

RevOps Consultant (Founder): Helps startups organize and improve their sales and marketing systems using data. 


Real Estate Banking Associate: Manages financing and credit for commercial real estate clients, building on earlier experience in real estate finance analysis.


Engineering

Senior Product Lead: Uses AI to analyze aircraft engine oil samples and catch potential engine issues before they happen.

Software Developer: Builds cloud systems that let huge 3D design files be viewed and shared online without crashing your computer.

Life Science / Kinesiology

Physiotherapist: Diagnoses and treats patients with injuries, helping them return to work, sports, and daily life.

Arts

Data & AI Consultant: Helps companies solve business problems using data and AI, from strategy to real implementation. 


Elementary School Teacher: Teaches Grade 2 students across all subjects while supporting their academic and social growth.
