Mentorship: As part of the surface community we go through unique experiences that can be exciting and also challenging. Sharing what we have learned from these experiences with other spouses is one of the many ways we can grow as a community and support each other. Mentorship is a huge part of SOS of Norfolk and our commitment to this community. Whether you are new to the navy or a seasoned spouse we encourage you to participate and share some of what you have learned with others.

Semper Gumby: Semper Gumby is about supporting fellow spouses throughout the Navy seasons and stepping in to help those who may be struggling. Whether it be from illness, loneliness, being overwhelmed, or needing words of encouragement. These acts of kindness can be anything from setting up a meal train, offering to watch each other's kids, surprising others with flowers or a sweet treat, helping with laundry, or decorating each other’s lawns to put a smile on their face. If you would like to participate in acts of kindness and support please let us know. We are all in this together!
